Beef products

The Beef comes from either Hereford or Dexter two year old steers raised in this sustainable British system.
The Dexter is a traditional breed of cattle native to the British Isles.

It lives on a natural diet of grass and being a slower growing breed the beef develops marbling which gives it a superb flavour, ensuring the beef stays tender during cooking. It is rich in Omega 3 un-saturated fats and many scientists claim that grass fed beef is lower in saturated fat than the beef that has been intensively reared. The compact size of the Dexter creates joints which are of a convenient size.

The fat colouration on Dexter beef is a rich creamy colour and this colour indicates a natural grass diet.

As one of the oldest British Native bred cattle, Herefords produce extremely fine beef from the most natural and simple of feeds - grass. Traditionally, breeders have concentrated on the quality of the meat over quantity and we are no exception.

The best beef deserves the best preparation. The carcasses are hung for a minimum of 28 days.
This traditional method matures the meat to achieve a superior taste; the beef is a deep red colour before it is butchered and vacuum packed for optimum freshness.
